Mark Howard Morgan, 25, of Pocatello returned home to his Heavenly Father on May 6, 2012.

Mark was born on May 29, 1986 to John Howard Morgan and Candy Cunnington (Morgan). Mark grew up in Pocatello, Idaho and graduated from Highland High School in 2004.

Mark loved his family with all of his heart. Spending time with them was one of his favorite things to do. He was especially protective of his mother and sister, Lacey Taylor. Mark talked to his mom every day and no matter where he was in the world, he never missed a single performance Lacey did. Mark loved riding dirt bikes with his dad, which he learned to do well very quickly.

Mark also loved his friends. He spent much of his time with those that loved him having the time of his life. There was never a person that met him that didn’t fall in love with him and his hilarious, sarcastic humor. His laugh was contagious and he had a million dollar smile. He would do anything to help people and would always make sure that everyone felt included. He was the life of the party. As a confident young man, he made a strong impact on all he came into contact with.

Mark also enjoyed mountain biking, hiking, shooting hoops, throwing around a football, and riding motorcycles with his best friend and brother, Tylor.

His family would like him to know how truly inspired they have all been to have had the blessing of having him a part of their strong family. They all would agree that he has made each of them better individuals and has shown them things about life that they value deeply. His mother and father love him beyond the expression of words and his brothers look up to his example contantly. His sister Lacey has always felt the comfort of such a protective big brother and knows that he will continue to protect her. His siblings all look to him as not only a brother, but as a best friend. His family could not be more proud of the individual he had grown to be.

Mark is survived by his parents, Candy Beck (Larry Beck), Howard Morgan (Emee Morgan), his brothers, Tylor Morgan, Tyson Taylor (Shyann Taylor), Shaun Taylor (Regina Champion), his sister, Lacey Teal Taylor, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, Grandparents, Dale and Nathalee Morgan, Betty Cunnington, and Great Grandma Dora Dean Young.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012, also at Colonial Funeral Home, as well as one hour prior to the funeral service.

Edna F. Myers, 92, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012.

Edna was born on the 6th of September, 1919, in McCune, Kansas and about the age of 12 her family moved to Nampa, ID due to farming hardships in Kansas. She was the 4th of 7 children born to her parents, including 1 brother and 5 sisters. She has 3 younger surviving sisters, one who was later added to the family when her mother re-married. She and her sisters loved to sing together and were quite entertaining when they talked pig latin together. Her sister, Joyce won second place in a singing contest when they were very young. And when the sisters gathered together they would always sing a lot of songs that their mother taught them.

Mom (Edna) met a charming professional musician named Don Starr, who also moved to Idaho from Oregon as a young boy. He played many different musical instruments at many dances with his parents, and she attended those dances. They got engaged and soon married in 1938. She worked at the A&W Rootbeer stand in Nampa which began her long career of doing restaurant work for many years. She became a great cook, making the best gravy, pies, and friend chicken.

To this marriage, came a son Charles, a daughter, Donna, and a son, Ken, plus one daughter that was stillborn. They lived in the Nampa area for several years and then spent some years in Buhl and Gooding and back to Nampa again. They then moved to West Linn, OR, for a new job opportunity. Edna and Don were married until 1961 when they divorced and went their separate ways. After a few years of trials and moving around, she was living in Bend, OR, where she was introduced to John Myers, who was quite taken with her cooking ability. They dated some and soon decided that marriage was for them. They were married about 25 years when he passed on at the age of 101 in Paradise, California.

Edna was a lady of many crafty talents. Her most impressive works were making baskets of pine needles and also her many items that she crocheted. She also did oil painting, chalk drawing, beading (even made a lamp shade of beads), and became a real rock hound too.

She was preceded in death by a daughter that was stillborn, her parents, her brother, 3 sisters, her son, Charles (Chuck Starr), her spouse, John Myers, 2 grandsons and one daughter-in-law Maryette (late spouse of son Ken). She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Paul) Rogers, son Ken (Julia Dee) Starr, 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Chubbuck 1st Ward Chapel located on the corner of Hawthorne and Chubbuck Rd in Chubbuck, ID. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave in Pocatello, and from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will be held following the funeral service at 4 p.m. at Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa, ID.
