Sue Ann Sanders Tubbs, 81, passed away on December 11, 2018. She was born in Hollywood, California to Joseph Earlo Sanders and Jenny Myrle Horne, on November 3, 1937. She was the fourth of six girls. As a young girl she moved with her family to Pocatello, Idaho. She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1955. She married Theodore Stephen Tubbs the day after graduation in her parents’ home. They lived in Pocatello until 1965 when they moved to Boise.  They then moved to Palmer Alaska in 1970 where they resided until 2012 when they moved back to Pocatello.

Ted and Sue had four boys; Alex (Lynnette) of Twin Falls, Sid (Tina) of Firth, Greg (Sherri) of Blackfoot and Vince (Kory) deceased at age 45.

Sue was renowned for her musical abilities. She was a member of many choirs and singing groups.  She also sang solos in church and many weddings. Sue taught herself to play the organ so that she could play for church services.

Sue held many jobs over the years – as cosmetics mangers for a couple of large department stores. She also worked as office manager for The Frontiersman Newspaper, an Alaska state senator and retired from the Alaska Department of Transportation.

Sue loved to quilt and crochet. The family has been blessed by many of her quilts over the years as well as those who have purchased her quilts. Several of her crocheted alter cloths are still in use in the Anchorage LDS Temple.

Sue loved her family. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by three sons; two sisters; and nearly 50 grand and great-grand-children.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11 am at the LDS Canterbury Ward Chapel, 4890 Whitaker Road Chubbuck, ID 83202, with a viewing for one hour prior.

Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID.

I have enjoyed the time at the Idaho Falls Temple a few times, and other times .

I’m so sorry for your loss. May your memories
and Gods words found in 2 Corinthians 1:2-4
give you the comfort you need at this time and
remember the hope we have in the fulfillment
of His promise found in Acts 24:15. With my
sincere and deepest condolences.

I was privileged to be able to sing with your Mom in Community Choirs when I was still in high school with you boys. She was an inspiration to me and so many more, I am sure. So sorry to hear of her passing. You are in my thoughts today and in the days to come.
