BLACKFOOT-Roberta Emogene Johnston, 84, passed from this life to the next on October 6, 2011 in her home in Blackfoot, Idaho with her family at her side.

She was born on July 7th, 1927 in Page, Oklahoma only daughter of Cleon and William Hollingback.

She graduated from Pocatello High in 1945, and continued her education at Utah State University for one year, and always found ways to continue to learn.

She and her husband, Paul Emigh Johnston Jr. were married February 19, 1950 in Meridian, Idaho. Together they raised four children, Paul III, Mark, Teresa, and Kevin.

She enjoyed the many places they lived including 25 years in Kalispell, Mt., 20 years in Boise, Idaho, and 11 years in Blackfoot.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings in the church, including Relief Society President, Young Women's President and teacher, and taught in many positions. She followed her feelings for others, giving and receiving love all her life. She personified the pure love of Christ. Many thought to call her mother.

She loved to cook and gathered recipes from everyone and everywhere. Her family was always her priority. She relished a special moment when she and her husband were sealed to their children in the Cardston, Alberta Temple for time and all Eternity.

She was outgoing, always smiling and a marvel at remembering people's names. She will be missed.

She was survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul Emigh Johnston Jr., her children, Paul III (Marilyn) Johnston of American Fork, Ut., R. Mark (Tami) Johnston of Boise, Id., Teresa (Kevin) Martinsen, Blackfoot, Id., and Kevin Eric (Cathy) Johnston of Auburn, CA., her brother, Dolan (Elizabeth) Keeney, Boise, Id., 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Bobbi is one of my most favorite people. I will miss her smiling face dearly. She and Paul have always been so caring even when they are ill and not feeling the best. I will always appreciate her friendship. My condolences for the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Paul and Family,
So sorry to hear about your loss. We have thought of you two many times since you left Kalispell and wondered how and where you were. Do hope the years have been kind to you both as we thought a lot of both of you. Think my fondest memory is of the time you went to the Halloween party as "The Jolly Green Giant" and Bobby came with you and told us how hard the green stuff was to remove later. Know that you are in our prayers. Bob and Chris Tolbert

Teresa and family, I was so sorry to read of the loss of your Mother. I have fond childhood memories of time spent at your east side home in Kalispell. Your parents were lovely and kind to a little ragamuffin from the neighborhood. I remember root beer floats and a kind a loving family. My heart and prayers go out to you all.

Paul and Family,
We are both so sorry to hear of your loss. We have wondered over the years where you were and how you were both doing. We were very blessed to have you in our lives in Kalispell and you cannot know how much it meant to our young family to have you both be a part of it and share your love and wisdom with us. You are a connection for Bill to his Mother that he cherished. Please know that our hearts and sympathy are with you all at this time. She was an ever giving person and will be missed by all.

Paul & Teresa, I was so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. I loved having her come in to Valley Foot & Ankle with her gentle, sweet personality. She is such a special person, and she will be missed.

My husband and I are now serving a mission in the Georgia-Atlanta Mission.

May the Lord's comfort be with you at this time.
