Our loving father, grandfather, brother & uncle, Donnie LaMoine Jenks, 84, passed away peacefully in his home in Inkom, ID, on Monday, April 23, 2018 and returned to be reunited with his eternal companion and loving Heavenly Father. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Don Was born August 1, 1933 in Provo, Utah to William Lavon Jenks and Delsa Jolley Jenks. He married his Eternal companion and life-long sweetheart on December 15, 1972 and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. They spent most of their married life living in Wellsville, Utah raising their 8 children; who were his pride and joy. They later moved to Idaho where they lived for the last years of their lives.

Dad had many church callings over the years and loved serving in any way he could. He loved being outdoors hunting with his boys or camping with his family. If he was making someone else happy then he was happy.

He served in the Army, training for the Korean War. He loved working on his farm and was known by all as a workaholic. He worked at Utah State University in the Physical Plant Plumbing Department where he was able to serve many.

Don is survived by his 8 children, Hal (Linda) Lafeen, KY, Ladawn Jenks, Lava Hot Springs, ID, Scott (Diana) Jenks, Idaho Falls, ID, Sheri (Jon) Thomas, Smithfield, UT, Dean (Twyla) Jenks, Hyrum, UT, Bryan Jenks, Smithfield, UT, Andrea (Justin) Stewart, Pocatello, ID, DelLene (Brandon) Balls, Inkom, ID; 28 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Glenda Kearns, Grantsville, Ut, Corey (Bob) Dunbar, CA; and many, many, many others that he considered family.

Don was preceded in death by his loving wife, Deanne Jenks; his parents; two sisters; one brother; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11:00 am with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 am prior at the LDS McCammon Stake Center, 403 W. 16th St. McCammon, ID 83250. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow at the Inkom, ID Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Pocatello for the years of loving care and service they gave to dad. He loved each one of his nurses as though they were family.
