Stormy Rae Todakozie “Smoosh” took her last breath with her parents by her side and passed away at Portneuf Medical Center surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. This sweet, beautiful, vivacious baby girl was a fighter to the very end.

Smoosh was such a blessing and in the one month that she was with us, she touched the lives of so many.  Stormy Rae was so deeply loved and especially by her parents who made her the center of their world.

Stormy Rae’s life will be celebrated with a combination of traditions and all are welcome to attend any of the services.  Attire is casual for all services.

There will be a traditional tribal service that will begin on Friday, July 19, 2019, at 12 noon. Stormy Rae will be brought to the residence of her great-grandmother, Clothilda Ponzo, at 226 S. Siler Rd. (between Frasure and Cemetery Rd. - Directions from Pocatello- Head N. on Yellowstone Ave., turn left (West) on Frasure Rd. then turn right (North) on Siler Rd. destination located on the right (east) side of Siler Rd.), Pocatello (on the Fort Hall Reservation).

On Saturday, July 20, 2019, Stormy will be taken to the Liberty Hall Event Center, 325 W. Benton St, Pocatello, where a memorial service will be held.  The service will begin with a viewing from 11am-12pm and the memorial service will begin at 12 noon.  Lunch will be served following the memorial service.

Stormy Rae will then be taken back to her great-grandmother’s residence for the remainder of the traditional tribal services; concluding with the burial at Cedars Cemetery in Fort Hall, on the Reservation, at 12 noon, on Monday, July 22, 2019.

Stormy Rae is survived by her parents, Owen Todakozie and Breighlee Busick (of Pocatello, ID); her maternal grandparents, Kevin and Jenifer Busick (of Chubbuck, ID); her paternal grandparents, Venitta TwoEagles (of Fort Hall, ID), Ernest Todakozie Jr. (of Kaibeto, AZ), and step-grandfather, Joe Sanchez (of Fort Hall, ID);  maternal great-grandparents, Kathleen May (of Rupert, ID) and Robert and Ronda Clark (of Hansen, ID); paternal great-grandparents, Clothilda Ponzo (of Fort Hall, ID), Ernest Todakozie Sr., (of Fort Hall), Vernon TwoEagles (of Fort Hall, ID), and Rita Nez (of Kaibeto, AZ).  She is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and many others who loved her.

My beautiful granddaughter, Breighlee and Owen: My heart aches for you for the loss of your precious Stormy Rae. She brought joy and delight to everyone around her. She melted our hearts with her arrival and broke them when she went away. Many only dream of angels, but you held one in your arms. She will be sorely missed and forever remembered. My deepest love to you both, grandma Kathleen.
