Biography

Barbie Raymond (Parkinson) Hull, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at home with her husband and son at her side. Barbie was born May 7, 1954 to David and Patricia McBroom Farrell at Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT.

In 1961 her mother remarried to Clifford Raymond “Daddy”, who in 1964 adopted Barbie and her siblings. A new little brother was also added to that union, making five children in the family. In 1966 the family moved to Groveland. As both parents had landed jobs teaching in the Blackfoot School District. Barbie attended grade school in Dillon and Helena MT., Blackfoot Junior High and Blackfoot High School. During her sophomore year she moved to Pocatello to be close to her grandmother and enrolled at Pocatello High where she graduated in 1972.

Barbie grew up loving ballet and orchestra and performed in the marching band playing all of the woodwind instruments. At Pocatello High she met and married Kim Parkinson. They later divorced with two children from that union, Chad Morgan and Andrea Danielle. In 1979 she met and fell in love with her husband of nearly 29 years. Barbie married Roben Hull on December 26, 1980 in Elko, NV. Roben’s son Robby J. became the third child in their new family.

Barbie was employed at AMI/ON Semiconductor from 1973-2009, holding many titles and retiring as a customer service representative. While she was at the company she was able to travel to many locations, including foreign countries, which she enjoyed greatly.

Barbie loved to hunt, fish, go camping, ride the Harley with Roben and host the family Christmas party. She enjoyed shopping and collecting fancy teacups. She also had lots of fun and met many friends in Jackpot and the Bannock Peak Casino. Barbie and Roben had been developing their retirement property near Lava Hot Springs.

Barbie is survived by her husband, Roben Hull of Arbon Valley; son, Chad (Carrie) Parkinson of Pocatello; daughter, Andrea (Ben Peterson)) Parkinson of Spokane, WA.; son, Robby J Hull of Pocatello; grandchildren, Racheal, Deanna Jayne, Alexis, Sophia, Brittney, Elijah; great grandson, Jaycek; sisters, Mary (Joe) Orchard, Kathleen (Kipp) Hummel; brothers, Doug (Ramona) Raymond, Ted Raymond, all of Pocatello. Her two dogs Budweiser and Harley. Barbie was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Raymond – 1978 and her mother, Patricia Stewart – 2003.

A special thanks from the family to all of Barbie’s many friends at ON/AMI, Carla Siler, Debbie Elbrader, Troy Hull and Creekside Hospice. Thank you for the love and comfort you showed Barbie. She loved and appreciated you all.

Funeral services for Barbie will be held Friday, November 13, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 South 4th Avenue. Family will receive friends from 11:00 - 12:45 P.M. at the funeral home prior to services. Burial will follow at the Lava Hot Spring Cemetery.
