Biography
POCATELLO – Evelyn “Debbie” Ourada, 61, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at a local hospital.
She was born on September 28, 1948, in Boise, Idaho, to Duane and Georgia Ourada. She spent her early years in Boise before moving to Half Way, Oregon, while in the 2nd grade. In the 6th grade the family moved again to Pocatello where she has been ever since. She attended Alameda Junior High and graduated from Highland High School in 1968.
Debbie was a very compassionate person and loved people. She was very smart and had a memory that could challenge a computer. It was not uncommon for her to remember names and phone numbers from decades ago. She liked to take trips in a car whether it was going out to eat or on a trip to the Grand Canyon. If the car was moving, she was in it. Debbie also enjoyed music, to read, and go to movies.
Debbie loved going to church and had attended the Nazarene Church and Pocatello Baptist Church. She was a beautiful Christian and loves Jesus.
She is survived by her mother, Georgia; sister Barbara (Peter) Isaksen of Idaho Falls, niece Kelly Tandy of Iowa, nephew Kelvin Gross of Oregon, nephew Cliff Gross of Washington, niece Jody Atkinson of California; sister Ellen (Andy) Ritzman of Ammon, Idaho; brother Larry (Max) Ourada of Chubbuck, nephews Jason and Jake Ourada, nieces Shy Fenwick of Pocatello, April Miller of Shelley, Kelli Whiteus of Pocatello; and sister Lorrie Lindsley of Pocatello, niece Gina (Kelly) Hall of Pocatello.
